Metrico World 3 walkthrough


Trophies earned

Low casualty rate - Complete the world while killing less than 18 enemies.

You'll have to be careful with this trophy, as there's a few tricky spots where you'll have to restart the entire run if you mess up. Fortunately the hardest spot is pretty early in the game, so once you get past that, it should be smooth sailing from here. As usual, I'll be guiding you through each puzzle and noting just how many enemies you need to kill to proceed.


You'll start off in a black space this time. You've been mysteriously given the power to fire shots by tapping the touch screen or using R. Fire a shot and some platforms will appear,

Get on the left ones and fire another shot to make a new platform appear. Get on that, jump to the upper platform, fire another shot, then move up to the next area.



You'll meet your first set of enemies here. Jump over them and go to the very right, then keep firing at the enemies until they're all dead. It takes 2 shots to kill one so just fire 6 times. Quickly jump onto the lowered pillar and proceed.

Enemy kills: 3

This next area has a collectible, but it requires an extra kill as unlocking it means you need to reset the puzzle to get past it. Come back to it later. To get through this puzzle, kill 2 enemies using 4 shots, no more, no less, which should bring the platforms to 1/3 and 4/6. Get on the 4/6 platform and fire 2 shots to raise it.

Enemy kills: 5

This one is the toughest part of the run and thankfully it's very early so failing here doesn't mean much in terms of time lost. Normally, you'll have to kill all 5 enemies to proceed, but you can actually get through this by only killing one.

Start off by standing on the 0/6 pillar, then fire 3-4 shots to raise it. Shoot once at the enemy on the right, then get on the same ledge as it, and head to the very right.

Now, jump off to the right and while in mid-air, turn left and quickly fire at the enemy.

After firing, keep moving right and you should be able to walk under the pillar before it crushes you.

Enemy kills: 6

In the next area, you somehow gain the ability to direct your shots using the rear touch pad. Use your newfound powers to kill one enemy, but shoot the other one only once. The platform should rise high enough to allow you to jump the gap.

Enemy kills: 7

The next area has part of a protractor. You'll have to quickly kill both enemies and get on the 0/4 platform before they perish, as hitting them causes the platform to rise. Start by aiming at the enemy in the middle, fire two shots, then quickly let go of the rear touch pad and press R twice, then get on the 0/4 platform as fast as you can. Proceed to the next area.
Fire the shots in this manner and get on the 0/4 ASAP.
You could also just kill one enemy and shoot the other one to raise the platform to just 3/4, but the jump to the protractor might be riskier to make.
 
Enemy kills: 9

You'll need to kill all 3 enemies in the next area. Get on the 0/5 platform,

then watch the top enemy and wait until it's on the 3/3 platform, then kill the bottom enemy. Fire some shots to raise the now 2/5 platform, then kill the other two enemies and move on.

Enemy kills: 12

The background suddenly shifts to white.

There's a collectible here, but don't get it now, as it requires killing the two enemies present. Proceed by killing one enemy and injuring the other,

then walk on the X=35 platform, then keep jumping to move it. Jump over the enemy when you reach it and get on the 3/5 platform. Fire some shots to raise it, then it's on to the next area.

Enemy kills: 13
Stay at the checkpoint,

then aim your shot as shown below and fire.

When the shot is about halfway through the screen, jump to summon an enemy. The shot will hit it once and raise a pillar. Wait until it falls down, then repeat this to a second enemy. Once that's done, proceed right.

The next area is pretty simple.

Stand on one of the platforms, and keep jumping until you reach the checkpoint ring at the upper area, then activate it

and use it to reset all the pillars. Jump on the leftmost one and keep jumping until you reach the top.

Next area can be a bit tricky. Jump 4 times,

then get on the 0/6 pillar, shoot 6 times, and jump on the horizontal platform,

then start walking right until the platform you're on is at 85%, then walk left, and right until the platform's at 100%. Cross the newly-formed bridge to the next area.

There's a collectible here. Feel free to unlock this one. Not really much to this puzzle. Starting from the right checkpoint, walk down and activate the middle checkpoint,

jump on the 1/4 platform, then activate the left checkpoint.

Get on the left platform and keep jumping to reach the top.

This is the final area, with 3 possible enemies here. If you did everything according to the walkthrough so far, you can get away with killing all of them and still come away with the trophy.

Start by walking all the way to the right, then walk left onto the black platform.

Jump 3 times, get on the X= platform, and walk to the 0/3 platform. Jump on it to summon 3 enemies. Kill them all, and jump back to the X= platform, then walk all the way left, then get on the upper X= platform, walk all the way to the right, and that's it for this world. You can also just kill 2 out of the 3 enemies and still get through, but if you're following the walkthrough so far, you should have more than enough of a cushion to kill all 3.

Final enemy kills: 16

To lower the doors, keep shooting and jumping.

    Thanks o lot for the walkthrough, it's a really good job !

    If you mind I found two more tricks to upgrade your walkthrough:

    Firstly, for the quater circle puzzle (when you reach the count 9), you can kill only one enemy and jump from the 3/4 plateform on the quarter.

    Second, in the last puzzle you can only kill two enemies (it costs the same jump moves but save one kill)
